George’s　Bicycle Trip to
Shikoku and Kyushu

Day 1   Himeji ( 姫路)

　　　　Today's highlights... were seeing 2 storks in a small pond by the side of the road and being hit by a car.

            今日のハイライトは。。。コウノトリを2羽を道横の小さな池で見たこと。と車に当てられたこと。

Day 2   Okayama (岡山)

            As expected, it rained all day. Soaked to the skin but not cold.

            予想通り一日中雨。　ずぶぬれだけど、寒くはない。

Day 3 Onomichi (尾道)

           Nice to ride under blue skies the small roads by the sea, through villages.

           晴天の下海辺や村の細い道での心地よいサイクリング。

Day 4 Shimanamikaido （しまなみ海道）

　　　　Island hopping over 6 bridges linking Hiroshima Prefecture with Imabari City.

            広島県と今治市を結ぶ6つの橋を渡る

Day 5 Ehime (愛媛）

　　　　By the sea through Matsuyama City.

            海辺を通って松山市。

Day 6  Oita (大分）
　　　　Short ferry ride from Shikoku to Kyushu. Then south, keeping as close to the coast as possible.

            四国から九州への短いフェリー旅行。そこからできるだけ海岸沿いそ通って南へ。

Day 7  Miyazaki (宮崎）

　　　　Rain was forecast for all day but it wasn't too bad.

            一日雨予報。でもそんなに悪くはない。

Day 8 To Kobe (神戸へ）

　　　　Sunny and windy all day but lots of trucks on narrow roads. The ferry is swaying quite a bit.

            一日中風が強く狭い道にはトラックがいっぱい。フェリーは結構揺れる。

　　　　Crazy ride from Kobe tomorrow morning...

           明日の朝神戸から家までサイクリングが待っている。。。
